Rosemary Gutmann graduated from University College Dublin in 1985 (BComm. FCCA) and trained as an accountant with Deloitte Touché. She made her career as a Financial Accountant for Cara Data Processing (a subsidiary of Aer Lingus) before moving to Singapore where she worked for Westpac Bank in 1994.

Rosemary and her husband Peter moved to Australia in 1995 where Rosemary worked for Energy Australia as a project manager to implement an integrated ERP system after which she joined the leading consultants of Deloitte Consulting as a manager in 1998. They returned to Singapore in 2002.They have also lived in Thailand and Dubai, during which Rosemary was Treasurer for the Irish Thai Chamber of Commerce.

Rosemary and Peter returned to Singapore in 2007 where they now reside with their 2 children Jack and Ruby.
