1. Membership Members of the Irish Business Association will be invited to attend events organised by both the Irish Business Association and any associated partners. Details of such events will be uploaded on the Website as well as being emailed to all Members by e-newsletter. All other membership benefits (such as discounts for specific services) can be found within the Members Benefits. 2. Membership Details All applications for membership of Irish Business Association are to be made via the Website application form. By submitting the application form online, the Member is deemed to have signed the application form. On completion of an application form, each new Member will receive an e–welcome pack which will contain a username and password. On acceptance of the membership application by The Irish Business Association, Members shall be bound during the continuance of membership by these Terms and Conditions including any amendments made in accordance with the procedure set out below. The Irish Business Association reserves the right at all times and in its absolute discretion to determine the number of Members in The Irish Business Association and may accept or reject applications for membership as it deems fit. The annual membership fee for members is laid out in the Membership Benefits section. All membership monies are payable in Singapore Dollars, with preferred payment being an online payment. Payment can be made by credit card via an online banking transaction. Payment can also be made by cheque, details of which can be found on this Membership Registration section. Membership fees are revised annually and will be notified to Members in writing. Clause 5 contains cancellation rights. 3. The Irish Business Association Members Area When registering online the Members can create their own personal password to enter the Irish Business Association Members area of the Website. Within this Members only area, Members will have access to a directory of Members but the use of data from the directory for commercial purposes of any sort is not permitted. Members will be asked to fill in personal details such as name, e-mail address, membership type (individual or corporate), services they offer, phone number, website details, photo or company logo and whether or not they are willing to offer other Members a discount or other special offers on their services. Members will have the opportunity to choose which of their personal details they would like listed in the Member's Directory, which can be viewed by all Members. The Irish Business Association reserves the right to refuse access to the secure Members only pages. The Irish Business Association shall not be liable for any loss or damages whatsoever arising from your inability to access any pages on the site. Any Member wishing to change, add or delete any profile information held on the Members only sections of the Website are able to do so by logging in and amending the details. If you are unable to login or access this area or you forget your username or password, you can contact the Website administrator by emailing ed@irishbusinessassociation.com. Information held on the Irish Business Association Members Area pages is subject to the Irish Business Association Privacy Policy . Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their username and password, and for all activities that occur under their username and password, whether by themselves or anyone else using their username and password. Members must ensure that they have any permissions or consents required to include material or links in the Member's Directory. 4. Discussion Forums Members can participate in the The Irish Business Association Discussion Forum . The Irish Business Association Discussion Forum area is a public system and as such The Irish Business Association takes no responsibility for the views expressed in messages posted to any discussion. Any views expressed are those of individuals, and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies of The Irish Business Association. The Irish Business Association does not verify, confirm or accept any responsibility for any of the information, advice or material provided on the Irish Business Association Forums. If you use any of the information, advice or material posted on these forums, you do so solely at your own risk. The Irish Business Association accepts no obligation to monitor the use of the forums but reserves the right to remove without notice any material posted to any discussion which the Irish Business Association deems to be offensive or in any way wholly inappropriate to the nature of the discussion. - Post any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive or otherwise objectionable on the Discussion Forum;
- Use the Discussion Forum for any commercial purpose or to operate surveys, contests or chain letters;
- Use the Discussion Forum to make complaints against individuals and/or organisations.
The Executive Director of the Irish Business Association reserves the right to be copied on all private messages between members made via the website. This is to maintain the professional use and decorum of the private messaging function made available to members. 5. Terminating Membership Membership is to be renewed annually in January. The Irish Business Association will email each Member once the membership is coming up to renewal. If a Member does not pay the annual membership fee by the 31st March of the renewal year, then the membership is not continued and the Member will not have the benefit of membership. The Irish Business Association reserves the right to expel Members or to prevent any Member from participating in any Event or from renewing membership if the Member puts the organisation into disrepute or if a Member continuously fails to attend events which she has signed up to or if the Member is misusing the membership forum or the discussion forum (for example, using the discussion forum to send chain letters). If, for whatever reason, a Member wishes to terminate their Membership, they must give 28 days notice of this in writing to the Irish Business Association. We regret we are unable to offer refunds if membership is cancelled for whatever reason before the renewal date unless we receive notice of cancellation within 14 days of taking out membership. 6. Events Members will be informed of forthcoming Members Events by e-newsletter or on the Website and will be required to pay the Event attendance monies 7 days prior to the Event. Members can sign up to an event via the Website event booking system. Payment for attendance at an Event can be made either online by credit card payment, or by cheque as per the cheque payment procedure. Members shall not hold the Irish Business Association responsible or liable in any way whatsoever for the cancellation for whatever reason of an Event. If a Member has signed up to attend an Event but is unable to attend the Event, that Member must contact ed@irishbusiness association.com at least 72 hours prior to the Event. If notification is received from a Member at least 72 hours prior to the event, a full refund of Event attendance monies will be given. If notice is received after this, the Member will not be entitled to a refund. Where cancellation arises and is the fault of a supplier of an Event, the Irish Business Association will use its reasonable endeavours to procure the return of the booking fees and any other monies paid by Member for such Event. Members agree to comply with any necessary health and safety regulations applicable to any Event attended. 7. Variation of Terms & Conditions These terms and conditions may be revised from time to time. If they are revised, we will post the revised version to you or email them to you. It will be your responsibility to keep up-to date with all such changes and your membership renewal and continued use of the Website shall be deemed acceptance of any changes to these terms and conditions.
