Peter Ryan

Peter Ryan is Director of the Asia-Europe Foundation, an international organisation with 43-member countries from both regions, with its HQ in Singapore.

Peter has lived in Asia for nearly 10 of the last 12 years, working first in the Irish Embassies in Tokyo (1997 to 2000) then Seoul (2000-2002) before returning back to Dublin as Deputy Director (Asia-Pacific) of the Bilateral Economic Relations Division in the Department of Foreign Affairs (2002-2004).

He returned to Asia in 2004 to fulfil the regional role in the Department of Communications, Marine & Natural Resources based at the Irish Embassy in Singapore.
